DARBHANGA: Media in contemporary society has resorted to investigative journalism to blow the lid off corruption, said Darbhanga DM Pran Mohan Thakur. He was addressing a symposium on changing social values and journalism held here at Chandradhari Museum on Tuesday.
"But they should not trap someone deliberately," he added. It was the 74th birth anniversary of late Ramgovind Gupta, a local journalist.

Dr Jitendra Narayan, a well-known orator, explained social values can withstand changing parameters of morality. "A society sans values becomes fragile," he said.
Prabhat Narayan Jha, another speaker, pointed out a change in social values was quite perceptible after the liberalization process. "Advent of television channels did the rest," he said.
